Music
First Christian Church offers a multitude of opportunities to praise God through the ministry of music! There’s a variety of ensembles, from children to adult choirs, and even instrumental choirs.
Adult Choirs
The Chancel Choir is open to all adults and high school age students. We rehearse Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9. The choir generally sings every Sunday and at Special Holiday services.
Spiritus is an advanced choral ensemble, and is fulfilled by invited membership only.
Children's Choirs
Children’s Choir rehearses during Jr Church on Sunday Morning’s and sing in church once a month.
Children’s Bell Choir (Crusader Bells) meets on on Sunday’s ten minutes after service for 30 minutes.
Adult Instrumental Ensembles
Joy Bells is an advanced handbell choir is for adults and high school age students. We meet from 6 to 7:15 Thursday evenings. Joy Bells plays once a month in church and at several outside events.
Joyful Noise is our beginner/intermediate handbell ensemble. No experience is needed to start making a Joyful Noise for The Lord!. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays, 7 to 8 pm.
The Way is our praise band that performs during our worship service. Anyone who plays guitar, drum set, auxiliary percussion, or bass (acoustic or electric) is welcome to come and join us Sunday mornings.
Resurrection Brass is our special brass ensemble. If you play a brass instrument, this is the group for you! We play on Easter and other special events throughout the year. Contact Chuck Kobb for more information.
Silent Praise performs at our Christmas Eve Service. The Silent Praise choir uses sign language to tell the story of our Savior’s birth as the congregation sings Silent Night.
