Directors of Music: Dr. Ralph Lorenz and Cheryl Neff Lorenz About our Directors of Music: Dr. Lorenz received a Bachelor of Music and Master of Arts degrees in composition from California State University, Long Beach, and a Ph.D. in Music Theory in 1995 from Indiana University. He is currently Assistant Professor in Music Theory at Kent State University. He also serves as Co-Director of Music, with his wife Cheryl, at our church, where he directs the Chancel Choir, two advanced handbell ensembles, and a guitar ensemble. Cheryl Neff Lorenz received a Bachelor of Music degree in Choral/Vocal Music from California State University, Long Beach. Both are active as composers, arrangers, performers and directors. The Lorenzes have a son, Gabriel. |
