Weekly Prayer Service

So what exactly happens at the weekly prayer service, at First Christian Church of Stow?

At 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings a small group of people have been gathering in the chapel to pray.

A facilitator leads the group in prayer, which may take the form of praise for our most loving God, prayers for our world, our nation, our church staff, our church family, prayers for those who are sick, or hurting or seeking answers, prayers of forgiveness, prayers of thanksgiving. Sometimes there is more singing, or more music for meditation, or some scripture.
The participants are welcome to speak their prayer requests out loud, or to silently speak to God from their hearts.

The service is over by 7:00 p.m. Those who have shared in this time have experienced a renewed sense of closeness to God, and to each other. Yes, the groups have been small, but the results can be mighty!
We welcome all to join us and see for themselves what can happen when together we pray without end!
