Christian Education Ministry Team

Meetings: First Monday of each month, at 7:00 p.m., in Brotherhood Hall.
Purpose: The purpose of this team is to plan, coordinate and evaluate the
educational and youth activities of the church.
Scope: Educational and youth activities include Sunday School, Junior Church, Nursery
and Preschool child care, Bible Studies, Youth groups, Vacation Bible School, Festival of
Learning, Youth Camp and much more.

Evangelism/Membership Team

Meetings: Time changes every month. Meet in the last classroom, upstairs in the new wing.
Purpose: Cultivate an evangelistic spirit within the church and plan and administer that which spreads the gospel and welcomes visitors in our church.
Other: Sponsors the neighborhood carnival, with free booth tickets, as a gift to the community. Initiated the "loaf of bread" for visitors.

The Historian

Meetings: N/A
Purpose: To organize, catalog and preserve historical material pertaining to our church.
To provide adequate storage facilities to ensure preservation and future access to material.
Memorial
Team
Chairperson: Jan Anderson
Meetings: Meets the last Tuesday of the Month, in the Church Library at 7:00 P.M.
Purpose: The Memorial Team guides and assists the Church in receiving, managing and
distributing all memorial gifts, honary gifts and scholarship funds.
Nominating Team

Pre School Team
Chairperson: Cora Dowey
Meetings: Second Tuesday of each month, at 7:00 p.m., in the Library.
Purpose: The purpose of the Nursery School Team is to provide Nursery School
experience for 3, 4 and 5 year old children. Community Outreach is also an important
purpose of our efforts.
Scope: Providing an educationally sound Nursery School program requires many responsibilities
such as publicity, registration, parent meetings, open houses, monthly fee collection, teacher
aide contracts, teacher aide hiring and support, health and safety inspections, order supplies
and equipment, monthly team meetings and more.
Publicity Team
Chairperson: Position not currently filled.
Meetings: The Publicity Chairperson calls a meeting only if a project requires
other individuals, in addition to herself, to carry out a project.
Purpose: The purpose is to publicize events and services offered by the church and
to keep the community aware of the times of our worship services.
Scope: The Chairperson contacts the newspaper about anything the church is doing,
that is thought to be newsworthy. Either a story is sent to the local paper or they are asked to
cover a particular event.
World Outreach Team
Chairperson: Chris Thayer
Meetings: Second Thursday of each month, at 6:30 p.m., in the Homebuilders classroom.
Purpose: The Team is responsible for community/world outreach. This includes necessity
baskets at Easter and Christmas, special offerings and other projects to assist people in need.
Scope: To support and assist many organizations financially and spiritually.
Special offerings, in-gatherings and charitable organizations all fall within this scope.
Worship Team
Chairperson: Ron Neaffer
Meetings: First Monday of each month, at 7:00 p.m., in the Library
Purpose: Manage all aspects of worship in our church. The Team acts as the
caretakers of the spiritual life of the church. As such, we strive to strengthen each
worshiper's connection with God.
Scope: Includes special and regular services, the Sunday bulletin, and we also
work with the "Come As You Are" team.
Christian Women Fellowship
Chairperson: Wanda Deiwert

Purpose: and not yet available!
Disciple Men's Fellowship
Chairperson: Steve Gross
Meetings: First Saturday of each month, at 8:00 a.m., in Fellowship Hall
Purpose: The purpose of the Disciple Men's Fellowship is to provide a means
whereby men can gather, fellowship, learn and grow as disciples of Christ.
DMF is open to all men.
Scope: The primary service project of DMF is the annual Fourth of July Pancake Breakfast.
Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) Grades 9-12
Adult Leaders: Carli Delaney   Beth Bruno, adult advisors
Youth Officers: 2006/2007 -
Meetings: Sunday evenings at 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., in CYF Room
Purpose: To develop closer relationships with each other and
with God, to discover together what we believe and
why we believe it, to figure out how our faith can make
a difference in our lives, to learn how to share our faith
with others - and to have fun!
Other: Current size of the group is around 25 kids. Activities
include: Winter break 2day getaway at a Youth Hostel
in Pennisula, week at Camp Christian in the summer,
opportunities for mission work, locally throughout the
year, and for a week in the summer.
Chi Rho Youth Group - Grades 6 - 8
Chairperson: Lisa & John Roseman, Judy Mahafy
Meetings: Sunday evenings at 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., in Chi Rho Youth Room
Purpose: A group of middle school youth who meet to share in Christian
Fellowship with other youth who believe in Christ as their Savior; to have fun in a safe
and loving environment; and to grow closer to Christ through ministry to others.
Other: A week at Camp Christian in the summer, with other Chi Rho Youth
from churches in the district, will be the best week of your life!
The Web Team
Chairperson: Tony Martinez
Meetings: The first Saturday of the month, at 9:30 - 10:30 a.m., in the Library.
Purpose: We strive to serve, praise and glorify our Lord Jesus Christ by
providing a website that promotes the many ministries of our church. These
ministries include Evangelism, World Outreach, Music, Membership, and
various Youth activities. We do this by providing a process that allows the
different ministry teams to easily publish their specific information on the
website.
Our ultimate goal is to offer another way for our congregation to
reach out to our world, both near & far, to draw more people to Christ and
the good news of salvation.
The Tech Support Team
Chairperson: Don Taylor (Interim)
Meetings: The first Tuesday of the month, at 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., in the Library.
Purpose: We strive to serve, praise and glorify our Lord, Jesus Christ, by
providing the technical expertise, direction and capability to implement and maintain the
church's computers, network, e-mail and other closely associated equipment used by the
church staff or office functions.
Our ultimate goal is to support the efforts of our church, to reach out to our world,
both near and far, to draw more people to Christ and the good news of salvation.
Independence Day Parade Team
Chairperson: Kim Walker
Meetings: Meetings are typically held at the church. No specific time established.
Times are adjusted to accomodate the availability of team members.
Purpose: Evangelism - Promoting our church as an attractive option for the "unchurched"
and those who are not being fulfilled, in their current church.
Pride - An opportunity to show our community spirit, with somewhat of an obligation,
because our church was instrumental in starting the Independence Day parade.
Social - An opportunity to learn more about others, by working together.
